The Canadian Toy Testing Council is a not-for-profit, voluntary, registered charitable organization, working for parents since 1952. Our job is to test toys and to help families make educated and quality toy purchases. The Council's year-round toy testing program is central to all of our activities. Every year, hundreds of toys and books are selected by the Council as being representative of those being offered on the Canadian market. These toys are tested by children in the National Capital Region for a 6- to 8-week period in everyday settings.  The Council then rates each toy using a three-star system, or sometimes determines it to be a Novelty or Not Recommended. The ratings and a review of each toy tested is published annually in our TOY REPORT and released to the national media at our media conference in November. OUR GOAL

The CTTC is celebrating over 58 years of learning as we play. Funds raised from this event will be used to help meet the daily expenses of our non-profit organization, which relies and operates almost exclusively on its dedicated volunteer base. Our goal is to raise enough funds to continue providing our services to the Ottawa/Gatineau community and all Canadian families.
