Hello from the beautiful West Coast of Canada...British Columbia is the most beautiful place on earth to live (of course I'm a little partial to this lovely land, and haven't actually been to every place on earth to verify that it is the most beautiful, but I like to think it is). Our winters here are long, but not because of the cold and snow, it's because of the rain and more rain. It tends to keep you indoors a lot...and what better things to do than needlework or shopping on your computer !!!!
A little bit about my name...my name isn't really Leeni and I don't think I'm crazy..although sometimes I wonder. My real name is Arlene. I used to belong to an on-line quilting group. We decided we all needed nicknames and for some reason I got Leeni...What can I say, it stuck. No one has ever really called me that, so it's just my on-line name. When I started with Ebay, I couldn't think of a user name and I just picked "CRAZY LEENI" because it was short and easy to remember. Of course, I started out by buying items and then when I started to sell, I didn't want to change the name as I wanted people to recognize me, and I felt that this was easier to remember than a number or just letters that didn't make sense to anyone.
Personal
I'm married to a wonderful man. He'd have to be to put up with me and my hobbies and EBAY. I have a terrific 25 year old son who I'm immensly proud of. He graduated last year from university and is now a Civil Engineer. I also have 3 terrific step children, 1 who has a biology degree from university and other is still going. The youngest is in Grade 11. I honestly could not have picked a better bunch of kids to be step-mom to. My Step daughter also sells a bit on ebay and we are kindered spirits as she also likes stiching and sewing.
I am now retired as a manager in a busy 911 call centre. I was in this business for about 32 years. I'm a bit of night owl and can sometimes be found on the computer while the rest of the world sleeps. Call me crazy, but I love the peace and quiet that is only found during the night.

My Hobbies
I love to stitch just about anything and I'm always eager to try new things. I began cross stitching 24 years ago when my son was born and I wanted some Walt Disney pictures to put on his bedroom walls. I do get bored from time to time and so then I try something new...Like quilting.
I became a quilting fanatic about 20 years ago and had to have everthing imaginable to do with Quilting. Well, I ran out of places to put my finished quilts and so I went back to cross stitching.
Then I just had to learn how to do Hardanger embroidery. For those of you who've never tried it, you'd be amazed at how easy it is to learn. The results always amaze me and it works up quicker than cross stitch. Of course I had to have everything there is to do with all kinds of needlecraft as well. My latest stitching obsessions are 2 Heaven and Earth Designs that I am working on. These are not for the weak and are huge designs that will probably take a year or more each to sttich. But the results are worth it.
I love books....book about anything...Quilting books, needlecraft books, cross stitch books....and Oh Yes, novels...I like them too.
And then there is shopping....I love to shop. I don't like malls though, and I've found that I love shopping on line. I have found so many wonderful items to wear (whenever I wear something new, my friends always say "Don't tell me...EBAY Right?"), items for my home ... as a matter of fact whenever my husband and I decide to buy something, we always check on-line first. It's just so easy and so much FUN. When I started selling, my friends joked that my husband was going to come home and find all our stuff sold on ebay.
I also love PEOPLE and what better way to meet people then becoming an ebay seller. I have met people from all over the world and I find it all fascinating. If I can't travel all over the world I can at least mail things all over. The internet has made the world such a smaller and friendlier place to live. I've found that no matter where we're from we're all basically the same. We all love the same things...our families, our friends and the places we call home.
I answer emails promptly as I know when you are interested in something, you want the answer as soon as possible. Now having said that, I do have a life away from the computer and the store so if you don't hear from me right away, don't worry, you will soon. I always leave feedback for the buyer and for the most part it has been positive. I appreciate positive feedback in return. If you are ever unsatisfied with a transaction in any way, please contact me before leaving feedback to see if we can reach an agreeable solution. I'm game if you are.
