Hi everyone, and welcome to the world of Crochet Headquarters!
I started this business a couple of years ago now, it was a spur of the moment decision, actually! I made myself a purse one afternoon, took it to work the next day to ask the opinions of a couple of co-workers- well, they loved it! One of them even went as far as to 'wear' my purse and describe the way she wanted hers made! She was my first customer, and she's been a repeat customer many times since! I hope to make my ebay customers just as happy as I made her with her purchases. :) |
I started crocheting when I was 18, which was about 23 years ago now! I just casually mentioned to my mom and sister that I thought it looked neat, and before I knew it, I'd received everything I needed to learn to crochet as Christmas gifts. I've made Christmas and birthday presents for family and friends over the years, I've made myself quite a few nice things as well. I live in a small house, so I have no need for any more crocheted items in here- but I don't want to give up my passion, either! So I decided to turn this into a home based business- I have a full time job outside the home as well, I raised 20 year old twins on my own, and yeah- well, I'm busy, busy, busy, as you can plainly see! Lovin' every minute of it though! :)
I recently moved to the beautiful Sunshine Coast, just a ferry's ride away from the city of Vancouver. I met the man of my dreams a few years ago, and on a day trip out to the Sunshine Coast, we decided this is where we wanted to live. My kids decided to stay where we were, they have their own lives and full time jobs, and I respect their decisions. I miss them terribly, but we chat on the phone a lot, and we're not that far away from each other. My daughter loves everything I make for her, from a basic scarf to a neon blue and lime green bikini top! My son isn't into wooly things, but he'll come around one day, hehehe. |
