I have always loved and admired vintage and antique clothing! Quite often the cut, style, and quality are so much nicer than that of many new items you find in stores today. I try to choose items for my store that are very unique and one-of-a-kind. This way a customer from another city, or country, can find something different for their wardrobe......something they would never find by shopping in their usual haunts otherwise! This is the miracle of the internet.....being able to match up special pieces of clothing with people who will love, wear, and appreciate them. I find it very satisfying to help someone obtain a new item that they adore! I also look at it as recycling....helping to create less garbage for our lovely world, reusing beautiful things until they can no longer be used!
Why the name, The Tartan Princess? I have loved tartans and plaids from a very young age....also I have always worn kilts and plaids through my mod/punk years. I still wear them today, in which ever way is fresh and new for the season. Kilts and tartan will always be part of my wardrobe forever! Thus, I guess I am a Tartan Princess!

I worked in fashion retail management for 11 years. I have completed College/University programs in both Business Administration and Apparel Design. I have also done costuming for various musical theatre productions. I like to think that all of this wealth of experience has made me a better store owner, and enables me to help YOU the customer better. If you ever have any questions about one of our items listed for sale or auction, please contact me, and I will try to answer them the best to my knowledge. Thanks!
