A Little Bit About Me A friendly visitor Pond view I live in the beautiful Muskoka region in Ontario, Canada, on 100 glorious acres of field, trees streams and ponds, bordered at the back by one small lake. The wildlife is abundant, and the view is spectacular. Which of course is why I don't want to work anywhere other than at home. After fifteen years of self-employment with my husband, and raising my home-schooled daughter, I decided I'll never be ready to go back to a regular job. I've always loved all things creative, drawing, painting, scroll sawing, x-stitching, sewing, crocheting, home renovations, interior decorating etc. So, when a prime opportunity presented itself to purchase an entire store's stock of sewing patterns my daughter and I decided it was the perfect time to start an e-bay store. We both already loved shopping on e-bay and decided to take the selling plunge, big time. So, here we are, I'm not sure yet whether we'll be sinking or swimming, but I'm sure it will be fun either way. I've always loved to sew, and sewing patterns have been something I've collected for years. My collection is mostly vintage Barbie doll patterns, because I was always making Barbie clothes for my daughter, and step-daughter, and now her girls. It's just too much fun! I also love to crochet clothes for them, and am hoping to get better at knitting. I used to sew for the girls all the time when they were little, I love making girl's clothes, especially if there's a lot of ruffles and bows, but eventually they reach the age where there is no way they are going to be caught in anything mom made. At least selling sewing patterns, I can still enjoy looking at all the gorgeous clothes, even if I don't spend that much time making them anymore.
