5 Keys to good Ebaying:
1. well inspected and described items
2.Great price, no inflated shipping charges
3.super fast shipping ask anyone
4. Fast, open Communication
5. Courtesy
I go by these rules 100% of the time
Other things I do that most sellers don't..... I try to get a tracking# on each and every package I mail out! The only time I can't get one is when the item can be sent as a "small packet" category, then there is no tracking sorry. I send you the tracking# right away so you can follow the package right from me to you. And yes I combine shipping, just let me know thru the ebay contact mail that yur bidding on others of my listings.
I put a shipping price to both canada(domestic) and to the U.S.A! Alot of usa sellers forget that canada has alot of buyers too yet they refuse to, or don't put in a shipping price to us(or they waaaay bloat the charges to us!) refer to #2 in good ebaying above.
I reply to buyer questions almost immediately, unless I am at work, in which case you get a reply by 3pmEST the following day.
I leave immediate feedback for buyers. You've done your part by paying for the item, then it's my turn to keep my end of the bargain and mail the item to you as described. Then I should receive positive feedback for keeping up my end too. Please don't forget that part....(again refer to good ebaying #5)....we all want to keep good and high feedbacks...so please hit positive when items arrive as they should.
Which brings me to shipping.... like in #2 of good ebaying, I try to keep costs of shipping down. Unfortunately canadapost is expensive in most cases. I have in the past, and will continue to do so, put in a "guestimate" amount for shipping costs on my listings which turn out to be far more than what the actual shipping cost was. In these cases I have given partial refunds back to buyers. I might keep it up a couple dollars over the shipping cost just to help cover ebay/paypal fees, but never more than that. It's very sad that some sellers out there gouge their buyers with extremely bloated shipping costs! THOSE ARE THE SELLERS THAT SHOULD NOT BE ON EBAY! REFUND YOUR BUYERS PEOPLE! IT ONLY TAKES A SECOND AND WILL AVOID A BLACK MARK(OR NEGATIVE) AGAINST YOU! whew, ok, got that out of my system lol. |
