With your help, we hope to raise a quarter of a million dollars in a 5-year nation-wide program.
- All proceeds from the auction fundraiser will support The Canadian Women's Foundation Girls' Fund, a charity help girls (aged nine to 13) build self-esteem, critical thinking and leadership skills.
- Even though young girls today seem to have more opportunities, by age 11 many girls are less confident, happy and satisfied with their lives. And it's no wonder – girls are constantly given the message by media that they don't measure up.
- The resulting pressure and negative reinforcement they face during this critical period in their lives can derail their self-esteem and judgment and shake the foundation of their future.

There are certainly more opportunities available to girls today, but the pressures and negative reinforcement they face can stifle enthusiasm, esteem, and judgment; often with negative consequences.
